Why it's here

Wireless headphones usually die with their battery. In the H100 the battery, the ear cushions and the inner headband can all be swapped by the owner, so a pair bought this year can still be in use in fifteen. That, together with materials you would expect on a watch or a handbag, is why this is the flagship we chose.

The object

The cups are milled aluminium faced with hardened glass. The band and cushions are lambskin and cowhide. A ring on each cup turns to set the volume and to let the outside world in or shut it out. Titanium drivers handle the sound, and a charge lasts around 32 hours.

Living with it

These are for long flights, late work and listening properly at home. In Century Brown they sit closer to a leather accessory than to a gadget. When the cushions wear, order new ones and fit them yourself in a minute.
