Why it's here

Golf shoes have turned into trainers with spikes. For most of the game's history they were two-tone brogues, and a course full of them was a handsome sight. Lambda, a Portuguese maker with half a century at the bench, still builds that shoe, and has quietly added everything a modern player needs. It is here for anyone who thinks the first tee deserves a little ceremony.

The object

The upper is white leather with brown wingtip, saddle and heel, punched in the classic brogue pattern. The leather is treated to shed water, with a waterproof membrane behind it. Inside is a removable cork footbed that moulds to the foot and softens five miles of walking.

Living with it

Wear them with flannel or cotton trousers and a plain polo. Brush off the grass, wipe the white panels and put trees in them after every round. Soft spikes mean they are welcome in any clubhouse.
