A person can own every fine thing and still drink poor water. We consider clean water the first comfort a home should have, ahead of anything in the cellar. Rorra's system is here because it treats the job seriously and does it in solid steel, so the thing on your counter looks like kitchen equipment and nothing like a plastic jug.
The object
Water poured into the upper chamber passes through the filter by gravity alone and collects below. According to Rorra, the filter is tested to reduce lead, PFAS and microplastics. The body is 316L stainless steel, the grade used for surgical instruments, and water is drawn from a lever tap at the front.
Living with it
Fill it in the evening and it is ready by morning. It needs no power and no installation, so it moves with you. Guests tend to pour themselves a glass without being asked, which says something about how it looks.
