Why it's here

No club is in your hands more often than the putter, and no maker has shaped the modern one more than Scotty Cameron. His putters were in the bag for fourteen of Tiger Woods's fifteen major wins. Where most of the industry casts heads and glues in plastic inserts, Cameron cuts each one from solid metal. That difference is the whole reason it is here.

The object

The Del Mar is a compact mid-mallet named for a beach town near Cameron's studio. The head is milled from a single billet of 303 stainless steel, and the face is cut in two depths to soften the feel without dulling the sound. Three red dots in the back cavity are the only decoration.

Living with it

Because it is solid steel, the head can be refinished and its loft and lie adjusted years from now, so a good one stays in the bag for decades. Keep the cover on between greens.
