Why it's here
Most of what we own loses value from the day we buy it. Gold has been used to store wealth for as long as there have been records. A one-ounce bar is the simplest way to own some: small enough for a pocket, accepted by dealers in every country. Among all bars we chose PAMP's because it is the one design that is also beautiful.
The object
The face shows Fortuna, the Roman goddess of luck, with coins spilling from a horn of plenty into her hands. PAMP introduced the design in 1979, the first time anyone had decorated a bullion bar. Each bar is sealed in a card that carries its serial number and certifies its weight and purity.
Living with it
Leave it sealed in its card, since opening it can lower what a dealer will pay. Keep it in a safe or a deposit box. A single ounce is a traditional present at a birth or a wedding, put away for the day it is needed.
