Why it's here

Buly is a Paris apothecary founded in 1803 and brought back to life by Ramdane Touhami, and everything it sells looks as though it came from a cabinet of that century. This is its strangest invention: a small metal vial of scented beads on a chain, hung wherever you pass. It perfumes a wardrobe or a hallway with no flame, no plug and no bottle, and it is lovely to look at.

The object

The vial borrows its outline from Buly's own perfume bottles and is pierced so the fragrance can escape. Inside are beads soaked in scent. Turn it upside down, as you would an hourglass, and the beads shift and release a fresh wave.

Living with it

Hang it on a wardrobe rail so your clothes carry the scent, on a bedroom door, or from the mirror of a car. When it fades, unscrew the cap and refill it with new beads.
